Name: Alice Johnson
Age: 21
Race: Half Dryad-Half Elf
Profession: Healer
Alignment: Arysia
Appearance: Often described as a dark-eyed beauty, she has long blonde hair, soft as corn silk, and dark brown eyes. Deep pools that catch your attention easily and hold it long, her eyes are riveting, framed with thick lashes in a light brown. A nose that tilts slightly upwards helps lead your eyes down to her full, sensual lips. The smooth expanse of skin of her face continues downwards, filling out into a body that has barely-there curves. Alices' small breasts and hips that are hidden easily in loosely fitting clothing can be articulately, if dressed carefully, to accentuate the beauty of her face. She has a lithe figure and is quite graceful on her mile-long legs and nimble feet. Though there is hardly no definition of muscle in her slight build, be assured that it is there.
Personality: Alice trusts too easy, loves too hard, and thinks too less. She's not what one would call brainy, but she does possess some intellect. Though she's experienced some hardships and scary times, her protective shell hasn't hardened much towards life, as she still gives it all she has. But while being wild and free, there's also something mysterious about her. Anyone can see she's haunted by her past and other ghosts that she has. Stubborn as she is, she won't tell anyone anything, and denies it all. She's very easily compares to a caged butterfly. Alice represents freedom, but even she's chained down.
Weapons/Magic: Alice has a bow and arrow that's been passed down from her mother's side. Engravings in the Elven language are carved all down the length, and the string is made powerful by charms done by her people. She rarely uses it, though, and doesn't carry it with her much.
A small dagger is sheathed on the inside of her right arm, and always has been since she was taken. The metal of the blade also has writing on it, but she doesn't know the meaning. It was given to her by a stranger, and she thinks it's some kind of magic.
She has a small gift of magic herself, and uses it for healings. While she's a skilled healer, Alice can only heal minor things, such as burns, scrapes, and small cuts. Her best area is as curing women of morning sickness and other symptoms of child-bearing. Severe battle wounds she can't do.
Alice has visions. She doesn't know how to control them, but she's overtaken suddenly and it's as if time freezes for an instant. Mostly, they're bad, and sometimes they bring her into harms way.
Lastly, a vial of strong poison is always around her neck. The reason she keeps it is only known to herself, but it's been there, just like the dagger, ever since she was taken.
History: Alice had never known her father or Bennett's father, and never cared much for their mother, Thea. She was an unwanted product of lust, and for a long time, she felt that way; unwanted. Bennett tried his hardest at raising her right, but she could see he was lonely. He played it off well, though, as he helped her learn simple things like her letters and numbers. He taught her almost everything she knew, and she loved him very dearly. He was a constant in her life, just as he always had been, and always would be.
As Alice was growing up, she felt very unwanted by the world. She was of mixed blood, and people treated her different. They didn't treat her the same as elves or dryads, and she knew they were somewhat uncomfortable around her wide, curious eyes. While her brother did all he could to help her have a childhood, she too had to grow up quickly. From the time she was five, Thea's lovers had taken interest in her. Some more than others, and one was the sickest in particular. He came only for her skin. Her mother never noticed, but he had snuck in to visit her several times. Bennett could only protect her so much, and he was too young to be able to fight, but he tried every time he saw him approaching her. The result was ugly.
When Bennett started having lovers, she never said anything. She knew he was lonely and needed to feel loved just like she did. And for that reason, she acted as if she didn't even know when he was gone. This, though, led her to feel lonely herself. Well, one dark and handsome man cured that quickly when she was fifteen. Bennett didn't like him at all, said he looked dangerous, but she ignored him. One day, though, Bryce showed up at her house when Bennett and Thea were away, and forced her to come with him. The things he made her do over the last three weeks would always haunt her, but she will never admit to remembering them.
Bryce took her deep into the forest, where a violent battle had been recently. That wasn't the strangest place he could have taken her, though, because battles were common and blood was always being shed, so she didn't think she was in any real danger yet. However, when he brought her into a clearing drenched in dried blood with a single hut, Alice began to panic. Bryce threw her on the ground and tied her up just outside the hut, with enough leash so that she could crawl inside when he was done with her. He made her beg for mercy without giving it, and he craved her cries of pain. With his knife and his fist, he got his fill of them every day.
When Alice finally managed to return home, she couldn't think or eat or barely breathe. She was badly damaged, inside and out. Bennett healed her the best he could, and took care of her extremely carefully, waiting patiently for her to return to her old self. Of course, they both knew she never would. She healed slowly, and as she healed, she realized that the past needed to be left where it was. So, even though she's haunted by nightmares every night, she doesn't speak of what happened. Instead, she pretends to not remember, and carries around some form of protection where ever she goes.
